While priority is given to research in:

 Arid land Management
 Water Conservation, Water recycling
 Waste Water Treatment
 Pathogen & Chemical Remediation

all water related research will be considered.

   

 

Fund Restrictions

 

 

 

 

 Awards are for Masters only.
No assistance will be provided for doctoral (Ph.D.) study.
Awards are made to individuals studying at
U.S. universities. None of the awards provide institutional overhead.
Once a student is accepted, the Fellowships funds may be used at the student's discretion for educational needs, living expenses, or family emergencies.  

Ivanhoe Fellowships of $5000 per recipient may be available each year in the Masters program, providing satisfactory work is being done each semester towards the
completion of the degree.

 

 

 

Candidate Qualities

 

 

 

 

Bachelor's degree or equal level certificates
English proficiency
Research assistantship or eligibility for a research assistantship
Work experience between degrees or field-related intern experience

 

 

 

Application

 

 

 

 

Information submitted must include a description of the student’s thesis and how the work would specifically improve the water resources of impoverished countries.

There is no application form.  A letter of nomination must be submitted
by the student's professor. All nominations and pertinent information
